still about the hurricane

I just got off the phone with Mom & Dad. All is still pretty calm there. They've started having some wind gusts, but nothing big. No rain yet. But the forecasters are still saying the outer banks will get the eye & from around cape hatteras on up will get the worst of the worst. Where M&D are they're only calling for about an inch of rain & gusts around 50mph.

To me 50 mph is 50mph and that's still cause for concern. I mean if a car was coming at you at 50mph you wouldn't just go, "whatever, we'll be fine". But Mom and Dad have had the 50mph winds before and seem ok with it all. I thought it was the parents who were suppose to worry about the kids, not the other way around!?!
